Into the Pages
by Meghan Hoerz

"Come, come to me," the pages whisper in my ear
They pull me in like a bluebird singing its song
I want to be back in the quest
Sailing the pages of adventure
Hearing the thunderous laughter of triumph
As I conquer the tall cascading words
If I was let loose to venture its pages
There would be no saying when, or even if, I would be back
But for now I must lay down my head
The book shall remain a mystery till tomorrow night
As I drift asleep
The memories of my adventure will remain a secret
